About Me

Hurd Mentality: Hello! I'd like to introduce myself and give a bit of insight on the reasoning behind this blog. I am a second-generation cowboy here in the Osage. My children are third-generation and my grandchildren are the fourth-generation. I was born and raised here in Osage County, Oklahoma. I grew up on some of the largest working cow operations in the Osage. I have been a working cowboy, a ranch manager, and am now in the process of being a ranch owner. I have been mentored by some of the best cowhands and ranchers in the world and have developed a mentality that has helped me survive as well as prosper. Hope you enjoy this little bit of Hurd Mentality.
